We are proud to introduce "Selected by Claudia Münch®” as Instant coffee, a former bestseller in Norwegian grocery stores under the brand Café Pele. This coffee has now been given new life and is back with a taste that will be recognized by coffee drinkers all over the country. Selected by creates expectations of high quality, and we can guarantee that it is fulfilled here. There is of course no definitive answer to taste and pleasure, but we believe that the vast majority of people in Norway, as in other countries, will agree that this is one of the best produced in this coffee segment, which is often underestimated. Our selected freeze-dried coffee cups better than most filter coffee brands in grocery stores, and not least important, it has less acid, which is an advantage for those who cannot tolerate such things well. 

Café Pelé: The History and the Producer

• The story of Café Pelé:

  • Café Pelé is a brand with 50 years of tradition and recognition for its quality. It has been a constant companion for coffee drinkers for many years.
  • The brand has been available in Norwegian grocery stores, including Rema, ICA, COOP, Meny and Bunnpris. We also had the organic version in Swedish ICA stores in addition to Bunnpris and some COOP stores in Norway. Café Pelé was a favorite among Norwegian consumers of instant coffee. It was they who ensured that Café Pelé had more than 50% market share in many of Norway's supermarkets.   

• Manufacturer: Cia Cacique:

  • Café Pelé is produced by the Brazilian company. Cacique de Café Solúvel. The company has been a partner for us in Sorze4 for more than 20 years.
  • Cacique de Café Solúvel is Brazil's largest producer of instant coffee, and their coffee has a export share of over 30% from Brazil.
  • The company has maintained a high standard of quality and purity over the years.

1. Freeze-dried - Green Bag:

   • The green bag contains instant coffee (powdered coffee) of high quality which does not stand back for filter coffee. Enjoy the rich taste and aroma, just as you would with a freshly brewed cup of filter coffee.
   • Perfect for morning rituals, breaks at work or when you want a quick and delicious coffee break. 

2. Agglomerated - Red Bag (for Iced coffee and coffee with milk):

   • This is ideal for those who like milk in their coffee or who want to make one iced coffee. It gives you the same good taste as Norway's most popular iced coffee. The one from TINE.
   • Try it cold or hot - it's tasty and if you make it cold it will be refreshing in the summer heat, but like the one you buy in the store, it can be drunk all year round. A recipe can be found on the back of the recyclable refill bag!

Comes with a zip lock so that the coffee stays good for a very long time. It is a slightly more expensive packaging, but is better for customers.
