We do not buy coffee beans blindly

You can of course evaluate coffee beans based on price lists, but price lists say more than anything else, more about the price than the quality.

You can of course travel from Norway to Brazil when buying coffee, but the problem with that is that harvesting and finishing, drying, washing takes place over several months, and not all coffee is ripe at the same time.

Then you have to have local heroes you can work with.

4 times Brazilian coffee cupping champion

Edmilson Generoso is not only our local hero in the world's coffee capital (Varginha). He is also 4 times Brazilian champion in coffee cupping.

Winning such a championship in Brazil (with 220 million inhabitants) is of course something different from winning the equivalent in any European country. Not that European champion cups have to stand back for Brazilian ones, but to win this title 4 times, that shows respect.

Best on Brazilian coffee beans

Perhaps a bold claim, but we ourselves believe that we have the best green Brazilian coffee beans you can buy in Norway. We are particularly pleased to be able to offer Brazilian honey coffee in Norway. Probably as the first supplier, ever.

Good beans need to be processed by good coffee roasters

The quality of the coffee beans means little if they are not roasted to bring out the best flavors in the coffee. We do not roast coffee ourselves, but we have partners and customers who can do it for us. That's why we had a bag of honey coffee roasted STORM Coffee in Trondheim. We sent a sample of it to Brazil for testing by Edmilson and our friend Sergio, who is our exporter.

Near perfect burn

Nothing is 100% perfect, everything can always be improved, but the coffee roasted by Steve at STORM Kaffe was described as:

“Near perfect - 9,8/10 - This coffee roaster knows what it's doing!”

Should you feel like trying this coffee, which for some tastes at least as good cold as hot. Then you should stop by STORM Kaffe, which has this as this year's Christmas coffee.

Cupping course in 2019

We have not set a date, but if there is interest among our customers, we will invite Edmilson to Norway to hold a cupping course. If you are interested, you can send us a message. Our business customers have first priority, but if there is space, we can also let customers of customers.

Then all that remains is to say Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!
