UTZ and Micro-lotts from Carmo de Minas

We have got the samples in stock and this week we will cup several types of beans, mainly from Carmo de Minas and Serra da Mantiqueira. What we select, we fill in a container and send to Norway as soon as it is ready. There will be many rarities here.

Yellow Dwarf Bourbon 

Size doesn't mean everything. Not when it comes to flavors and aromas. We haven't burnt it yet, but the small green beans grown in the Mantiqueira mountains (1100-1300 m above sea level) have a promising fragrance. Presumably this is one of the rarest types of Brazilian coffee that has been imported to Norway. According to the description, it should have a full body, moderate sweetness, medium to high acidity, something you don't always find in Brazil. Called Bourboncito.

This is a micro-lot with only 44 60 kg bags. Perhaps you will be the one to secure this lot?

Micro lot from Carmo de Minas

Carmo de Minas is known for having some of the best and most exclusive coffee from Brazil. Then, of course, with the exception of Jacu Bird

Although it is not as rare as Jacu, we have this micro-lot with 24 pieces of 60 kg peaberries.

In our somewhat informal cupping where we did not emphasize Q-grade criteria, but what most people would like, this was the winner. A bit unusually fruity for Brazil.

UTZ from Carmo de Minas

 The lot with Yellow Bourbon Natural UTZ certified coffee is slightly larger, but only 150 60 kg bags. If it lives up to expectations, this may be our bestseller in the new year.

Ruby – Semi-washed

Last but not least. We didn't get it all semiwashed Ruby into the container that will "land" in Trondheim in 2 weeks. In addition to the 168 x 30 kg bags that are arriving now, we have 42 x 60 kg left in stock in Brazil. 

 

If you would like samples, we cannot send to everyone. We obviously have to prioritize existing customers, before new customers, but we will do our best so that everyone can be satisfied. Feel free to use our contact form if you want to taste some of this.
