It probably wasn't quite right, but we thank you for the mention and interest!
If we had been given an opportunity to read through, we would have been able to correct what was written in the newspaper Nidaros (paywall), in relation to Storm Kaffe, but we didn't get the opportunity to do that, so we clarify here;
We are (regrettably) not co-owners, or otherwise involved in the operation of Trondheim's best coffee roaster, Storm Kaffe. The coffee roaster is a valued customer who buys from us the best coffee beans Brazil has to offer, and we rent storage space from Storm Kaffe.
Not quite like traditional "Norwegian" waffles
The waffle, as we know it today, heart-shaped with diamonds, originated in Belgium. Belgium is the place where today we buy the waffle mix, which most people will find to be slightly less sweet and sugary than the traditional Norwegian waffle. This is because otherwise it could be too sweet, because ice cream, cream and berries are often used on top of the waffle. What you like best.
Mobile controlled waffle irons
Why should you control the waffle iron from the mobile phone? Well there are several reasons for that, beyond statistics and service settings. The user will easily be able to adjust the temperature and baking time, and whoever has more than one type of waffle plate, American, Belgian, Liege, bubble waffle, or ice cream cone, these have different thicknesses, and then one must therefore use different baking times to get the best possible result. And that's the whole point;
Our waffles must be the best on the market and we must have the best concept
The waffle maker costs well over NOK 10.000, so it is naturally not something you should invest in to have on the kitchen counter in private homes. We do not sell the waffle makers. The customers who are coffee shops, restaurants, hotels, gas stations, and others, they borrow the waffle maker with a condition to buy our original Belgian waffle mix.
